A Little Bit About Me

I am a wife, mom of three, and an introvert who can extravert when required. My favorite things are chocolate cake, the night sky just after sunset, and the quiet house after everyone goes to sleep. I loved school (nerd alert) and am constantly learning. I also know what it's like to have half-done projects and, even better, the satisfaction of getting projects finished.

Service to others and a focus on mission keep me going.

What Drives Me

Throughout my career, I have enjoyed being part of large organizations as well as small but mighty teams. Particularly in those small shops, we were focused on our mission and had so many amazing ideas. It was immensely satisfying - and exhausting. Many of our ideas flourished. But other ideas sat on the shelf, bogged down by endless to-do lists, fires that always needed to be put out, and a lack of project ownership capacity.

When we began to reach beyond our staff to take on extra projects, we increased our impact, saw return for our investment, and were energized by the ability to (finally!) bring those neglected ideas to life.

Now I help people and organizations grow from overwhelmed to accomplished and energized.

How I Approach My Work

For twenty years, I have grown and evolved through various roles - specializing as an engagement manager and program developer. My process is thoughtful, keeping your big picture in mind. As a nonprofit generalist, I am skilled in volunteer management, program development, event planning and hosting, data management, communications, social media, donor relations, and more.

From small, solo projects to creative collaborations, I’m always looking for the chance to explore new partnerships and learn something that I can apply to my professional or volunteer work.
